Timed to coincide with the run-up to the presidential election, this invitational exhibition features posters that speak out on current political and social issues. Participating designers hail from the United States, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Iran, Israel, Korea, and Turkey. The range of poster media include screen printing, letterpress, stencil, and offset lithography. Poster design has a history of activism. In addition to calling for social changes, the works in this show attempt to enact some. Copies of posters will be available for purchase with proceeds going to a charity of each designer’s choice. The opening reception will feature a local DJ and voter registration to encourage students to become registered voters.
