On Monday, October 10th we are meeting in-person for the first time in over two years at Ideation Orange, 6:30pm. Our design panel will consist of Dr. D'Wayne Edwards, founder of Pensole and one of AIGA's 2022 National Design Conference Keynote Speakers, along with BreAnn White and Ron Watters.
Dr. D'Wayne Edwards as a designer has accumulated more than 50 patents and designed more than 500 footwear styles. The most meaningful work of D’Wayne’s career is becoming the President of Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design in Detroit, MI. Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design will be the first design- focused HBCU and also the first HBCU to reopen. BreAnn has traveled the world working with Adidas to ebay, Teen Vouge to Netflix and Idris Elba to Halle Berry. Ron is a product designer, artist, and educator. He's the founder of One Custom City, taught with Detroit Future Media, an initiative of the Detroit Digital Justice Coalition and Allied Media Projects.
This is the beginning of our new partnership with Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design, we'll be featuring creatives from their network every quarter next year with some surprises for our members along the way. Another significant partnership is with Ideation Orange who are our venue hosts for all three of our October Events. Ideation Orange is what you get when you mix storytellers, graphic designers, artists, interior designers and fabricators. Making it one of the areas best venues for creatives to reconnect and build.
