AIGA Detroit’s Student Portfolio Review


Attention all design students! AIGA Detroit eagerly invites you to our Student Portfolio Review on Saturday, March 16th 10AM at the Apple Developer Academy in Downtown Detroit. A great opportunity to accelerate your design career and enjoy delicious food in the morning and afternoon. Affordable entry is $30 for AIGA Student Members and $40 for Non-Members. Keynote Presentation: Design Titles by JayNorm 11:30am-12:00pm

A lively talk by Justin 'Jay' Norman, Spotify's Global Head of Music Marketing. Jay has had many titles in his design and music career. He'll share what carries him through to success with his current personal projects, businesses and at Spotify.

A Creative leader and Co-Founder, with a decade + commitment to designing campaigns merging culture and human emotional experiences. A seasoned marketing leader and co-founder with a 15-year track record in crafting marketing campaigns that connect culture with genuine human emotions. Throughout his agency and in-house career, Jay has led end-to-end 360-degree campaigns and content for a range of well-known brands, including Spotify, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Country Crock, Bertolli, JBL, Harman Kardon, McDonald's, NFL Films, Republic Records, Universal Records, Popsicle, and more.

As co-founder of the award-winning creative agency Verse + Hook, he's been part of crafting compelling narratives for brands like Pepsi and RockStar energy while also playing a role in bringing artists and musicians into advertising for brands such as Kingsford, Jeep, Bacardi, Paypal, NFL, and ESPN.

An eye opening talk led by design leaders Christina Rountree and Scott Lange both from VML the world’s largest Ad agency. Our discussion will consist the how and why making your portfolio uniquely yours, and what rules to follow and what to break. Then spend time with Q&As.
