Design Pop Up: Exclusion by Design

It's time for fresh and relevant conversations around racial equity and inclusion. To inspire, educate and produce new ways to operate. Sharing our platform to amplify marginalized voices, listen and design differently. Exclusion by Design, is AIGA Detroit's first Racial Equity and Inclusion event, featuring Local Lighting Round speakers;Carlos Estrada sharing tips about Dialogue + Doing and Asha Shenoy who will be presenting on Accessible Design. Our Keynote and guest from L.A. Grace Danico will telling her story about Becoming a Collaborator.

Grace Danico is a Filipino-American illustrator, designer, and archivist from Los Angeles, California. Her work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators and American Illustration. Some of her past clients; Ace Hotel & Swim Club, Anorak Magazine, Converse, Girlboss, Google, Got a Girl Crush, Hillary Clinton, Los Angeles Archivists Collective, The Manila Review, OKCupid, The New York Times, The Plant Journal, Red Bull Music Academy, Samsung, Secret 7", Warby Parker, and WeWork.
