Meet the Judges: Jake Lefebure

Jake LefebureThe Detroit Design community is excited to bring in renowned judges for the 2011 Design Re:View. Jake Lefebure, a co-founding partner and CEO of Washington, D.C.-based Design Army, will be one of those judges. As the principal project leader, he oversees new business and creative development for all of the studio’s accounts. The multi-disciplinary firm has forged alliances with industry leaders and connected with global audiences. Their client list reflects a balanced mix of small businesses and international juggernauts, including AIGA, American University, Chronicle Books, Disney, GE, Human Rights Campaign, International Monetary Fund, Marriott International Inc., National Building Museum, Ritz-Carlton, Rockport Publishers, Smithsonian Institute, SuperStock, University of Virginia, Verizon, and the Washington Ballet.
In 2009, Jake was named by Graphic Design USA as one of the top 50 People to Watch and his creativity has been featured by every notable design organization, including AIGA 365, American Advertising Federation, Communication Arts, Graphis, HOW, New York Art Directors Club, the One Show, PRINT, SPD, Type Directors Club, Novum (Germany), Applied Arts and Coupe (Canada), Art4D (Thailand), as well as judging design competitions and lecturing at design events and universities. Jake graduated with a B.A. in Graphic Design from Penn State University, and is the recipient of the 2009 College of Arts and Architecture Alumni Achievement award.
